The Vermont Urban & Community Forestry Program hosts a one-day conference in honor of the hardworking professionals and stewards that care for our community trees. Workshops are offered to enhance technical skills, discuss relevant topics in urban forestry, and network with professionals.
The conference also celebrates Vermont's Arbor Day with a proclamation and recognition of Vermont Tree Stewards Awards and Tree City, Tree Line, and Tree Campus designations. This event was formally known as the Arbor Day Conference.

The Vermont Urban & Community Forestry Conference will be held on May 29, 2025 at the Vermont State University Randolph Campus.
Registration will be available in March.
Call for Workshops
The Vermont Urban & Community Forestry Program invites workshop proposals for the 2025 Vermont Urban & Community Forestry Conference.
Please review the workshop guidelines below and submit your proposal through the online submission form. Be prepared to provide the following information:
- Workshop Title
- Presenter Information: Name, title, organization/affiliation, and email
- Presentation Format: 60 minutes, 45 minutes, or lightning round (10 minutes)
- Workshop Abstract: A description of the session (300 words or fewer)
- Participant Interaction Strategy: Outline how you will engage participants during the session
Deadline for proposals: Friday, January 31, 2025.
Expect an e-mail response to your proposal by approximately February 14, 2025.
