What should you do if a large tree causes intolerable sidewalk uplift and drops too many acorns to clean up?
What should you do to care for a tree that draws visitors, encourages outdoor recreation, and protects the community from urban heat?

Now what if they are the same tree?

Tree nuisances like blocked sightlines, uplifted sidewalks, and unwanted shade are often caused by healthy desirable trees. Thankfully there are many ways to handle tree nuisances without resorting to whole tree removal.

Join Urban Forester Adam McCullough for a partly indoor and partly outdoor training at Bennington town garage on April 8th from 11am to 3pm. Learn to identify and assess tree nuisances and learn simple techniques that eliminate nuisances while maintaining tree health. Proper tree care will look better, manage the nuisance more thoroughly, save effort and time, and could prevent expensive premature tree removals.

This training is for everyone. Highway departments that need to request tree owners to perform safety maintenance, residents who want a municipal tree pruned away from their roof to prevent moss, and state agencies that manage trees in public places and must respond to complaints they receive. All have something to gain from this half-day training. Tree Nuisance Framework will lead to win-win-win outcomes. The third win is for the tree!

This training is free but pre-registration is required.
