Join the VT Urban and Community Forestry Program and the Waterbury Cemetery Commission for a free workshop on pruning lilacs and hydrangeas at the Maple Street Cemetery.  The workshop will be led by Urban Forester Adam McCullough.

Workshop Overview: Learn to manage the size, structure, and outline of these ornamental shrubs without marring their appearance or damaging their vigor. We will go over proper pruning cuts that apply to all trees and shrubs, then dive into the topic of lilacs and hydrangeas. 

Intended Audience: This hands on training is intended for anyone interested in learning pruning skills and will be appropriate for all ability levels. Bring your own tools if you prefer, but there will be saws and hand snips available for you to borrow.
