Community and Town Forest Stewardship Library

The Community and Town Forest Stewardship Library is designed for landowners, communities, and town forest volunteers to learn about stewardship activities that have occurred on community forests throughout Vermont. We are just developing the library, and it will be populated with demonstration projects implemented by communities to promote forest resilience, old forest characteristics, wildlife habitat, harvest sawtimber, restore water quality and more. We hope this library of demonstration projects helps communities and private landowners consider options for their forests, learn from the experiences, and build a community of practice in which landowners and communities are not alone as they take action to care for Vermont’s forests.
