Have you heard about beech leaf disease? Beech trees play an important role in the forests of the Northeast and are a critical food source for many insects and animals. However, the emergence of a new pest, beech leaf disease, poses a significant threat to these trees. In this informative webinar, Dr. Jeff Garnas, Associate Professor of Forest Ecosystem Health at the University of New Hampshire, will share information on the role that beech trees play in local ecosystems, on the beech leaf disease ecology, identification, and current and anticipated impacts on regional forests. He will also share some details of some emerging research projects and priorities to understand and manage this important forest health threat.

This webinar is open to all. It is being offered as part of the Forest Pest First Detector Course.  Join the webinar at the link below.
