Ash Tree Management Grants

The Vermont Urban & Community Forestry Program is accepting applications from municipalities seeking financial assistance for municipal ash tree management. With funding from the US Forest Service, this is a competitive grant opportunity that supports local planning and implementation of management to slow the spread of the invasive, non-native emerald ash borer (EAB) and mitigate the effects of ash tree decline and mortality in municipalities.

This funding is intended for all Vermont municipalities that are prepared to remove public ash trees threatened by EAB, plant new trees of different species to offset the loss of the ash trees, utilize public ash wood in effective and innovative ways, and/or plan and support ash tree management on high-use municipally owned land.
