The Vermont Urban & Community Forestry Program, a partnership between the University of Vermont (UVM) Extension and the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation, invites applications for an outreach professional position in the Burlington UVM Extension Office.
Candidates with a Bachelor degree and one to three years of experience demonstrating expertise in recruiting and managing a volunteer structure to support technical assistance and educational programming in communities. Basic functions of this position will provide volunteer management, outreach, and education to empower Vermonters to develop sustainable local urban & community forestry programs. A strong component of this position will be delivering statewide educational programs, including the Stewardship of the Urban Landscape Tree Stewards Training Program and the Forest Pest First Detector Program.
